Hello World !!


  1. Install Xampp
  2. Open Xampp : start apache and mysql
  3. Document Folder : c:\xampp\htdocs
  4. Create folder inside htdocs eg: bcasl
  5. Go to folder bcasl and Create a file : hello.php
  6. write some text in file : This is a php file
  7. Goto browser and type in url box : http://localhost/bcals/hello.php
  8. You will see : Hello World !!

Introduction to PHP


  • PHP is an acronym for "PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor".
  • PHP is a widely-used, open source scripting language.
  • PHP scripts are executed on the server.
  • PHP files can contain text, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP code.
  • PHP code is executed on the server, and the result is returned to the browser as plain HTML.
  • PHP files have extension ".php".
